The main function of the FINNIPS network is to arrange entrance examinations for the UASs’ English-taught degree programmes in countries outside Finland.

Entrance Examinations around the World

After applying for admission according to the set procedures, all eligible applicants will be invited to take part in entrance examinations. The entrance examination can be taken either in Finland or outside Finland in one of the countries where FINNIPS organises them. The exam country can be chosen in the application form. Please note that if you are planning to take the exam outside your own country of residence, you should check whether you need a visa to enter the exam country and whether visas are granted for exam purposes.

In spring 2017 the network arranged entrance examinations in twelve countries outside Finland. The exams took place during the first two weeks of April. More detailed information about the country and exam-specific schedules were sent to all the eligible applicants in the invitation letter in mid-March.

One Exam Result Acknowledged in Co-operating Degree Programmes

According to the principles of the joint application system, applicant who has applied to 1-6 degree programmes that are included in the same field of study and accept each other's results will be invited to only one entrance examination. The result of the examination will then be accepted in all the co-operating degree programmes that the applicant has applied to.

See the list of co-operating degree programmes in 2017. The programmes using the same entrance exam are indicated in different colours in the listing and the exams are named according to the field of study.
